Steel Mesh Frame Inspection

The inspection of steel mesh mainly includes: node bearing capacity inspection, weld inspection, dimensional deviation inspection, rod unevenness inspection and steel mesh deformation inspection.


The bearing capacity of the ball-welded connection and screw connection of the steel mesh frame must be tested in accordance with the 'Quality Inspection and Evaluation Standard for Mesh Frame Structural Engineering' JGJ78. For the existing screw-spherical connection mesh, it can be removed as a connection point to test its load carrying capacity. When removing the screw-spherical nodes, corresponding protective measures must be taken to ensure the safety of the structure.


Steel Mesh Frame Inspection

In general, the space span of steel mesh frame structure is relatively large, which has high requirements for installation accuracy. During the construction process of steel frame project, GB 5020 must be strictly complied with, among which, the measurement of deflection is an important part of the acceptance of steel frame project delivery and safety monitoring of building operation management. Whether the deflection value meets the requirements of design and relevant standards is an important parameter whether the steel net frame itself can meet the safety and reliability of use. Therefore, accurate determination of the deflection of steel mesh will be directly related to the acceptance of the project and the safe use of the building.




The testing of steel mesh frame can be divided into the bearing capacity of nodes, welds, dimensions and deviations, unevenness of rods and deflection of steel mesh frame and other items.




Steel mesh frame welded ball nodes and bolted ball nodes of the bearing capacity of the test should be carried out in accordance with the 'mesh frame structure engineering quality inspection and evaluation standards' JGJ78 requirements. For the existing bolt ball node net frame, can be removed from the structure of the node to carry out the ultimate bearing capacity test node. Measures should be taken to ensure structural safety when intercepting the bolted ball nodes.


Welds in steel mesh frame can be detected by ultrasonic flaw detection, testing operation and evaluation should be carried out in accordance with the requirements of 'Ultrasonic flaw detection and quality grading method for welded ball node steel mesh frame welds' JG/T3034.1 or 'Ultrasonic flaw detection and quality grading method for bolted ball node steel mesh frame welds' JG/T3034.2.




The appearance quality of welds in steel mesh frame shall be tested according to the requirements of Code for Quality Acceptance of Construction of Steel Structure Engineering GB50205.




Detection of welding ball, bolt ball, high-strength bolt and rod deviation, detection method and permissible value of deviation shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of 'Standard for Quality Inspection and Evaluation of Mesh Frame Structural Engineering' JGJ78.


Wall thickness of steel pipe rods in steel mesh frame can be detected by ultrasonic thickness gauge, and the finish layer should be removed before detection.




Steel net frame in the pole axis of the unevenness, can be used to detect the method of pulling the line, the unevenness shall not exceed one thousandth of the length of the pole.


The deflection of steel mesh frame can be detected by laser range finder or level meter, the number of measurement points within each half-span should not be less than 3, and there should be 1 measurement point in the span, and the end measurement point should not be more than 1m away from the end support.
